If you are resitting your AS Media Studies exam in January you should practice making notes on a 5 minute TV drama clip. You should watch the clip 4 times, you are allowed to take note on the first viewing in the exam.
You should structure your notes around the four concepts of camera-work, editing, mise-en-scene, sound.
The question will also ask you to discuss a representational area. Topics that could come up in the exam are; Gender, Age, Sexuality, Class and Status, Physical Ability, Race and Ethnicity, Regionality.
You could get a clip from any TV drama. It doesn't matter if you have never watched that show before.
